Asajahnique is a professional dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and director. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communication And Rhetorical Studies and two master degrees in Communication and Rhetorical Studies, and Television, Radio, and Film, all from Syracuse University.
Establishing her love of dance from the age of 3 Asajahnique has trained in the major styles of dance: Ballet, Hip-hop, Tap, African, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, and Pointe. At the age of 18, Asajahnique transitioned into a dance instructor teaching choreography to her dance team, Creations at Syracuse University and teaching at Redhouse Arts Center.
As a filmmaker and director, Asajahnique has a primary focus on telling the stories of communities of color, combining her research in communication with her practical skills in media to create and tell stories that have people of color at the center.
